San
Francisco Municipal Rail (MUNI)
The MUNI system is made up of many bus
routes, several light rail lines, and the cable cars. Cost is $1.50 (exact
change only) which includes a free transfer ticket good for two hours. You can
use Transit511 to plan
trips, view schedules, and find MUNI stops. Unlimited monthly passes are
available for $45.00. The N-Judah light rail passes right by UCSF. Both the VA
and SFGH are accessable by bus.
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)
The BART system is primarily
for travel from San Francisco to the East Bay or south down the peninsula.
